As usual and much more, an anchor is meant for stability and standstill of a ship in the storms of the water. All of us are involved in life’s pilgrimage full of storms and waves, but the good news we Christians have is that we belong to the Master of storms, waves, oceans, and seas be they spiritual or physical.
Our Anchor this new year by implication is, in form of ‘trust’ in God, and a ‘promise’ from Him. The anchor this year is “The young lions lack and suffer hunger; But we who seek the LORD shall not lack any good thing” (Ps. 34:10 NKJV). The God of Isaac is our God, He made Isaac to sow and he reaped a hundred-fold in the time of famine, so shall be our portion in this period of economic melt-down in Jesus’ name. Our business and jobs will be divinely blessed in Jesus’ name. Brethren, this year all we need is to trust and seek the Lord because there are unlimited blessings in trusting and seeking the Lord.
